October 6th was the day our lives turned upside down. Alec had gone in for a colonoscopy, we were expecting the doctor to tell us he had IBS or crohns disease...anything but cancer.
Although this was devasting news, we have yet to feel sorry for ourselves or let it dampen our spirit. We have the support and love of unbelievable family and friends and feel so blessed. We both know that God will carry us through this difficult time. The doctors have given us hope and that is all we can ask for.
While we have a very long road ahead, we believe that this journey will make us stronger and wiser and appreciate every breath we take and every day we have that much more. With faith, hope and love, anything is possible.
I have decided to keep this blog so we can keep you all informed and updated with our progress.
