Alec Fix

Every now and then I need an "Alec Fix".  Chase and I will often go to his grave and then before he goes to bed, we will watch a video that I had made from the funeral and wake.  I love watching the video, it makes me laugh, cry and helps me remember the good times.  I miss him so much, some days a lot more than others.  Chase loves watching the videos too, he snuggles up next to me and points to every picture and says "Dadda!"  and then when he sees Dadda with a fish he says "Eesh!!"  And when he sees blue ocean behind his Dadda he says "Wawwa!".  It is the cutest thing and I am so happy I have such beautiful pictures, set to beautiful music and I am able to sit down and watch my beautiful life with my beautiful little boy. 

Since I needed an "Alec Fix" tonight, I thought I would share a few photos.  I thought about what we would be doing this week.  He would have already brought us to the tree farm, picked out the PERFECT tree (and it would probably be17 feet tall) and then we would have struggled to put it up and he would have had to use the broom to hang the lights (because its 17 feet tall) and then we would watch Elf the three of us would cuddle on the couch.  Oh what could have been...

This year Alec will again be spending Christmas win Heaven...I wish things were different, but I know he is safe and happy and with God. 

Thankful

I am always grateful for what I had and for what I have.  Not a day goes by that I dont look up to God and thank him for all he has blessed me with.  Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, families and friends come together to give thanks for each other and all their blessings.  It really puts things into perspective and reminds us what matters.  I am grateful for my beautiful life.  Thank you God!

Chase and I are best buds.  Luckily, he is exactly like his Daddy, always up for an adventure, constantly on the move and loves, loves, loves to be outside.  We have been busy this fall, country fairs, hikes, walks, bike rides, beach days (yes, even in November!) and we still make time to cuddle on the couch.  

I am so lucky to have this little man in my life.
