Team Faith, Hope and Love!

Thank you all who donated, ran, supported and prayed last Saturday at the 2nd Annual Rear in Gear! 

It was an incredible day, lots of family, friends and sunshine.  We could not have asked for more! 

Missy and Me, Mark and Alec are so proud! 

It was so nice to have the two teams come together. Alec and Mark had so much in common, and were loved by many and last Saturday was proof of that.  There was an undeniable energy and happiness in the air (and a couple butterflies too.)  I am so grateful I was able to finally meet Missy, Marks wife and their adorable children.  We have an unfortunate bond, but I know there is a reason for our coming together.  She is a strong, beautiful, young mother who is an inspiration to so many.  I am sure our friendship has only just begun. 

Events like this not only spread awareness of colon cancer, but they bring people together and allow us to share our stories about the ones we loved so much.  I love talking about Alec, hearing his college buddies tell stories about him and I love the signs he is constantly sending us. Alec and Mark touched so many people, and they continue to inspire and live on through each of us.  Because in the end, we have learned, all you need is Faith, Hope and a lot of LOVE!
