Vacation in Acadia.

We are back! We had such a fabulous vacation, the week went by so fast and we were so busy, but it was so nice to spend a week away from hospitals and traffic. Every day was beautiful (except Tuesday when it rained, but we were still able to get in 2 hikes and a trip to the best Mardens in Maine!)

Alec was feeling really good all week, he hiked every day and kept an impressive speed up each trail. Not bad for a cancer patient!

We stayed in an adorable house in Southwest Harbor which had an amazing view of the water and was walking distance to downtown. Perfect for all of us! It was so much fun to wake up to little Julia smiling eating her breakfast every morning.

The Lombardos made us bracelets that are like the yellow "Livestrong" bracelets, only ours says "BELIEVE" with a fish (which symbolizes Christ and also fishing for Alec) and on the other side it says ABC HJC with an anchor in bewtween. We LOVE them and the 15 of us wore them all week in Bar Harbor. Such a great idea, and it means so much! Thank you!

My favorite hike is Gorham Mountain, the views are fantastic (I think I have the same exact photo taken every year since I was a kid)

Cheers to a great vacation! Notice our blue bracelets. (Alec got his first buzz in months, gotta love that Blueberry Beer!!!)

On our way up the "Beehive"

We really had such a wonderful time and the good news we got before we left made it that much better. We still have a long road ahead, and I am sure other challenges will come up, but it feels good right now to know that the chemo is working and so are the prayers.

Saturday we drove down to CT for Melina and Adams wedding, we had so much fun. She looked stunning and it was great to see all the Salve girls (and their significant others of course). Those Greeks sure no how to party!

Again, thank you all for your prayers and for thinking of us. We have had such an amazing summer, I dont want it to end. Alec started back on chemo today so hopefully this will be an OK week for him, at least we know its working and we just have to pray that it continues to!

Thank you!

Love,

Heather, Alec and Millie!
